We assure you that all of us at Lone Goose Bakery are doing everything in our power to get your packages out as soon as possible. Once we hand your packages off to our shipping partner, the control is out of our hands. Please keep this in mind if you happen to experience difficulties.
This is a detailed overview of the current Lone Goose Bakery shipping policy. This page will be continually updated to reflect any future changes. If you have any questions, please post a comment at the bottom of this page or message us via the Contact Us page.
We have developed a separate Holiday Hours and Shipping Schedule to address shipping during this period.
Processing Times
We have now streamlined our standard processing times to efficiently manage orders. We do our best to get orders out as quickly as possible. We ship packages every day except for Sunday. This schedule is applicable to both USPS and UPS orders. Here are the estimated cutoff times for getting your package processed and ready for shipment the same day that your order is placed:
Monday - Friday 2 p.m. CST
Saturday Noon CST
Sunday Closed (Sunday orders will be the first ones processed on Monday morning)
This means that an order placed at 1 p.m. CST on Monday will most likely be packaged and ready for our shipping provider that same day. An order placed at 3 p.m. CST will likely not be ready until the next day. Remember, this is a general rule. We occasionally experience surges in demand which have the potential to cause temporary delays. See the Estimated Delivery Examples section below for further information.
Shipping Provider
All orders placed through our website are currently shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS) and United Parcel Service (UPS). We utilize five separate shipping options, USPS Priority, and USPS Priority Express with USPS and Ground, 2nd Day Air, and Next Day Air through UPS. UPS does not deliver Ground packages on weekends. Our warehouse is located in the middle of the country, so over 90% of our Priority orders are shipped with 2-day estimated delivery, and over 90% of Express orders are delivered overnight (1-day delivery). This means that when USPS receives a package with Priority shipping, the estimated delivery will typically be two days later (excludes Sundays). The remaining Priority packages are delivered with a 3-day estimated delivery. When USPS receives a package with Priority Express Shipping, the estimated delivery will typically be the next day if you order before 2 p.m. CST M-F and noon on Saturday. Priority Express packages ARE NOT delivered on Sundays. UPS does NOT deliver to P.O. boxes.
UPS Shipping: "UPS 2nd Day Air®: Guaranteed delivery by end of the day for shipments picked up on Thursday, based on destination." This means depending on your location, UPS will not deliver to some rural areas on weekends; therefore, your shipment may be pushed back to Monday. Make sure to check your local UPS delivery schedule before choosing your shipping option.
Sundays & Federal Holidays
USPS and UPS do not ship on Sundays or Federal Holidays. You can see a list of federal holidays here for USPS and here for UPS. If your package is already in the possession of USPS during a federal holiday, it will stay in place.
USPS Priority Mail Map & UPS Ground Mail Map
If you input our ZIP code: 74159 into either USPS Priority Mail Map or UPS Ground Mail Map you can see the expected 1, 2, or 3- business days delivery areas for Priority Mail shipments. And as for UPS if you're choosing ground shipping it may take 1 to 5 business days depending on where you're located. Per the USPS website: Exceptions apply, and delivery time is not guaranteed. In our experience, Priority Mail Express usually cuts one day off of the shipping time, but again, exceptions apply, and delivery time is not guaranteed.
Priority Mail Estimated Delivery Examples
We have included some estimated delivery examples to help our customers schedule their purchase times. This section combines our standard processing times with the USPS Priority Shipping times to calculate a delivery estimate. These estimates assume that your address area has Priority 2-Day, which is the case for over 90% of our orders. The remaining customers with Priority 3-Day will have their delivery date on the next available delivery day (USPS and UPS do not deliver on Sunday).
Orders placed between Saturday 12:01 p.m. → Monday 2 p.m. CST will have an estimated delivery date (EDD) of Wednesday
Orders placed between Monday 2:01 p.m. → Tuesday 2 p.m. CST will have an EDD of Thursday
Orders placed between Tuesday 2:01 p.m. → Wednesday 2 p.m. CST will have an EDD of Friday
Orders placed between Wednesday 2:01 p.m. → Thursday 2 p.m. CST will have an EDD of Saturday
Orders placed between Thursday 2:01 p.m. → Saturday 12 p.m. CST will have an EDD of Monday
Remember that these are estimates and are not guaranteed. I suggest placing your orders early to help your packages arrive ASAP.
Priority Mail Express Estimated Delivery Examples
We have included some estimated delivery examples to help our customers schedule their purchase times. This section combines our standard processing times with the USPS Priority Express Shipping times to calculate a delivery estimate. These estimates assume that your address area has Express Overnight (Next Day) Shipping, which is the case for over 90% of our orders. The remaining customers have addresses with 2-Day Express Shipping and 3-Day Priority Shipping, so you will still receive your package one day sooner by purchasing Express Shipping.

Orders placed between Monday 2:01 p.m. → Tuesday 2 p.m. CST will have an EDD of Wednesday
