Apple Flaxseed Muffins
This simple recipe makes muffins that are delicious & packed with nutrients.  Great for a quick breakfast or afternoon snack.

- ⅓ cup Flaxseed - Recommend our Canadian Brown Flaxseed
- ½ cup Sour Cream
- 1½ cups Bread Flour
- ⅔ cup Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Baking Soda
- 1¼ tsp Salt
- 1 Egg - beaten
- 1¾ cup Chopped Apples - leave skin on for nutrition & color
- 3 tbsp Canola Oil
- ⅔ cup Milk
- ¾ cup Chopped Pecans - Optional, personal taste
- Turbinado Sugar - Optional, personal taste
- Combine the egg, vegetable oil, and milk in a bowl while blending your dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. 
- Add and stir both wet and dry ingredients together until blended. include your apples to the thick batter. 
- Grease your muffin cups before pouring in about ⅔ of the way full.  
- Sprinkle top of muffins with turbinado sugar and chopped pecans before putting in the oven. 
- Bake at 350℉ for 18-20 minutes.
