1 ½cupsWater
1cupGranulated Sugar
½cupBrown Sugar- packed
2Cinnamon Sticks
1tspGround Cinnamon
1tspVanilla Extract
Cinnamon Dolce Latte
2shotsEspresso
2tbspCinnamon Dolce Syrup- from above
1cupMilk- or non-dairy alternative
Whipped Cream- optional
1dashGround Cinnamon
Instructions
Select a medium saucepan and add in water, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until the sugar is dissolved into water. Note: It is not time to heat the saucepan at this point.
Add in the ground cinnamon and the 2 cinnamon sticks to the saucepan. Stir and mix the cinnamon in with the other ingredients.
Slowly turn your stovetop onto medium heat. Bring the mixture to a low boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Make sure to stir the mixture often to keep the flavors mixing and heating evenly. The syrup will begin to thicken slightly over time.
Remove the saucepan from heat and add in the vanilla extract. The mixture is now officially syrup.
Allow the syrup to cool for 5 minutes. Now we can start making the actual latte
Brew two shots of espresso and pour into your Chosen Mug
Add 2-3 tbsp of cinnamon dolce syrup to you Chosen Mug. You can store the extra syrup in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 weeks.
Steam 1 cup (8 oz) of milk or non-dairy alternative by using steamer/frother or heat in small saucepan until it’s steaming.
Pour steamed/frothed milk into your Chosen Mug, and mix/stir everything together.
Add optional whipped cream and sprinkle ground cinnamon over the top if desired.
