Equipment

  • 1 Espresso Machine
  • 1 Stovetop
  • 1 Small/Medium Saucepan
  • 1 Milk Frother/Steamer – or heat milk in saucepan
  • 1 Espresso Shot Glass
  • 1 Chosen Mug, Glass or Tumbler

Ingredients

Pistachio Syrup

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Unsalted Pistachios - no shell
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Pistachio Latte

  • 2 shots Espresso - 2-3 oz of very strong coffee
  • 2 tbsp Pistachio Syrup
  • 1 cup Milk - or non-dairy alternative

Instructions

  • Grab a small or medium saucepan and pour in the water first, then the sugar. Set your stove to medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. Bring to a low boil.
  • Add pistachios and continue bringing to a low boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. This is where the flavor really builds.
  • Take it off the heat, let it cool for a bit, and strain out the pistachios using a fine mesh strainer.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract. Now the syrup is ready to make the Pistachio Latte!
  • Take 2-3 tbsp of the fresh syrup and pour it into your chosen mug! You can store the rest in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • Brew a double shot of espresso, or you can use 2-3 oz of very strong coffee. Add it to your Chosen Mug.
  • Steam 1 cup (8 oz) of milk or non-dairy alternative by using steamer/frother or heat in small saucepan until it’s steaming.
  • Pour steamed/frothed milk into your Chosen Mug, and mix everything together. You’re ready to enjoy the latte!
