Equipment

  • 1 Oven
  • 1 Muffin Pan/Tin
  • 12 Muffin Liners
  • 1 Whisk or mixing spoon
  • 2 Large Mixing Bowls
  • 1 Hand or Stand Mixer
  • Toothpicks

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 3 Ripe Bananas mashed
  • ¾ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Large Egg
  • cup Unsalted Butter melted
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare your muffin pan by adding paper muffin liners. I also recommend spraying the liners with cooking oil spray to help remove the muffins after baking.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. You can use a whisk to mix.
  • In a separate bowl, use a hand or stand mixer to combine mashed bananas, granulated sugar, the egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the banana mixture to the dry ingredients until just moistened. Next, carefully stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Add the muffin batter to the prepared muffin pan. Fill each cup around ⅔ full to allow room for baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of a muffin comes out clean.
  • Carefully remove from the oven and allow the muffins to cool for 10 minutes, then enjoy!
