Ingredients
1cupWater
1cupGranulated Sugar
1cupUnsalted Pistachios
1tspVanilla Extract
Instructions
Add water then sugar to a small/medium saucepan. Turn stovetop onto medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, while bringing the mixture to a low boil.
Add pistachios and continue bringing to a low boil, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat, let it cool, and strain the mixture through a mesh strainer to remove the pistachios.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Store the pistachio syrup in an airtight container. It will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
