I recently tried a pistachio latte at a coffee shop, and I knew I needed to create a homemade version. Pistachio Syrup Full Recipe

This recipe makes roughly 1 cup of Pistachio Syrup. That is enough to make roughly 8 Pistachio Lattes, or add to multiple cocktails or coffees. If you need more than that, you can multiply the recipe accordingly.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Unsalted Pistachios
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

“Add the syrup to an airtight container”
  1. Add water then sugar to a small/medium saucepan. Turn stovetop onto medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, while bringing the mixture to a low boil.
  2. Add pistachios and continue bringing to a low boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, let it cool, and strain the mixture through a mesh strainer to remove the pistachios.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Store the pistachio syrup in an airtight container. It will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
