BLUE BIRD POPPY SEEDS FOR BAKING

These are the world-famous Blue Bird Poppy Seeds. Blue Bird Poppy Seeds are very high-quality poppy seeds sourced from England. If you are looking for flavorful poppy seeds with a rich and nutty aroma, you have come to the right place. These poppy seeds are not chemically treated and do not contain artificial ingredients. The English environment gives these seeds a unique flavor profile that isn’t found anywhere else in the world!

TAKE YOUR BAKING TO THE NEXT LEVEL

You can use these wonderful seeds to take your cooking/baking to the next level.  Whether you are a novice in your home kitchen or an experienced owner of a bakery, these poppy seeds will keep your customers coming back for more.  The bitterness of these seeds combines perfectly with the deep nutty flavor.  They are perfect for your next recipe of rolls, cake, muffins, bread, bagels, yogurt, etc.  The satisfying crunch will fill you and your friends/customers with delight.

Although the primary use of these poppy seeds is baking, they can also be added to soaps and lotion as a natural way to exfoliate skin.

OUR PROCESS VERIFIES QUALITY

We’ve created a unique process to ensure that all of our poppy seeds are worthy of the Blue Bird label.  We closely inspect the seeds and remove any spoiled seeds that might negatively alter the flavor.  We do not tolerate stale or musty seeds, and we maintain proper storage to protect and extend shelf life.

POPPY SEED STATEMENT

All poppy seeds may contain trace amounts of opiate alkaloid residue. Our process removes contaminants; however, your adequate cleaning of the seeds can remove most opioid residue. Prepare poppy seeds for consumption by thoroughly washing seeds in very hot liquid (≥140°F) disposing of the liquid, baking the seeds at 400°F to dry. Do not ingest poppy seed wash or liquid made from washing the poppy seeds; its ingestion is dangerous and may be fatal. Keep this product out of reach of children. I love these seeds but am wondering if lonegoose will be getting the old seeds with the plant material in them via the next new shipment? They are still good but not AS good. Please let inquiring minds know. I’ve sent a couple emails trying to reach out and no response.

    • Callie (store manager)

Thank you for your support! I apologize that your emails have slipped through the cracks. Due to the natural nature of the product, there are variances in appearance from shipment to shipment. Our supplier is committed to providing exceptional seeds regardless of plant matter.

Im a very happy customer! Ive been ordering from Lone Goose Bakery for over a year and i have never been dissatisfied. Their product quality is outstanding, their shipping is super fast and their customer service ( I just found out) is stellar! Had a shipping error on my last order which may have been my fault and when I contacted them they responded fast and got my order to me the next day!!!! Honestly, in todays market, I have gotten used to poor customer service when issues arise. I cant tell you how impressed I am with this company! Definitely recommend!!! Thanks guys!

I use these seeds for my small soap making company. These are one of two brands that don’t make my soap smell like spices and pepper. When using essential oils to scent soap, any other pungent ingredients can overpower their delicate aroma, and trust me, no one wants stale pepper scented soap. Not sure what other companies do to their seeds but they are unusable for my needs. Lone goose always ships on time and their seeds are almost always the same. Keep up the good work!

    • Callie (store manager)

We are thrilled to hear that our seeds pass the test! We take pride in providing seeds of the highest quality. Thank you for your support!

Customer service very helpful but prices are just too high. Quality of poppy seeds is good but I’ve had better for way less. Plus they never tell you when they’re low on stock so you gotta roll the dice and pray they have stock or you go dry and suffer.
Don’t want to order 20 pounds and have it be bad quality so you go with 2 or 5 lbs. It’s always a gamble with poppy seeds.
When I first started taking them, 5lbs of really good seeds was 39 bucks! Then prices shot up fast and stock quantities and quality are unknown.

Sincerely Nuts is out of stock again and some have said that Lone Goose buys up most of their poppy seeds and resales here.
Is it true? I have no idea….it’s just what I heard on Amazon back earlier this year before Amazon stopped selling seeds due to crybabies complaining about stupid stuff. I’m pretty sure all UK poppy seeds come through the loading docks on the New Jersey shore from the same supplier. I could be wrong.

Will definitely buy again from Lone Goose though!

Hi there! We pride ourselves in providing exceptional baking ingredients and strive to never sell a sub-par product. Due to the natural nature of the seeds, there are variances from time to time. As far as stock issues are concerned, the one time we did run out while waiting for the harvest we were very transparent with our customers. We posted on our social media platforms, sent out an email, as well as putting a post on our website that addressed the shortage and our timeline of return. I can assure you that we are fully stocked and will not be running out. We do not buy or re-sell Sincerely Nuts products. Our supplier in England is fully stocked and committed to continue providing us with only the best baking products. We hope this puts you at ease and that you will continue to be satisfied with Lone Goose Bakery products. We appreciate your business and support!
