Each bottle is packed with flavor; it has been loaded with multiple vanilla beans that have been scraped by hand. We only use the most premium Grade A vanilla beans in our extract. You will be able to see and taste the difference!
This version is made with Bourbon/Whiskey rather than our traditional extract made with Brandy.

We complete the extraction process by utilizing high-quality Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey. The bourbon has been chosen because it has a distinct flavor profile compared to other spirits, and it has been a popular request from our Lone Goose Bakery Community.
That’s it; our extract does not contain added sugars or any other ingredients. Other companies use chemicals to “help” with the extraction, but not us! We keep it simple so you are comfortable with our ingredients.
Our Process
We start with the best-sourced vanilla beans from Madagascar. All of our bottles contain multiple vanilla beans. We take the time to cut and scrape each vanilla pod by hand to loosen the vanilla caviar (the tiny dark beans contained within the pod). This helps ensure all of the flavors are extracted later in the process. We then place the vanilla caviar and the pods in individual bottles.
Now, we are ready to add our second (and final) ingredient, bourbon whiskey. We actually obtained this tip from some of you, our loyal customers and readers!
Every 1-2 weeks, we shake each bottle and inspect to ensure the extraction process is properly completed. Each batch is aged 6+ months to ensure the optimal flavor is reached.
Our team makes sure to process our extract with love & care, just like you would at home.

We have continued to focus on boosting our efficiency. We have now streamlined our processing time, and it has resulted in extremely fast shipping times. We offer USPS Express delivery and International Shipping to Canada. UPS Shipping: UPS will not deliver to some rural areas on weekends; therefore, your shipment may be pushed back to Monday. Make sure to check your local UPS delivery schedule before choosing your shipping option. UPS does not deliver Ground on weekends and does not deliver to P.O. Boxes.

Info for New Bakers – The bourbon alcohol burns off during baking, just like vodka in traditional extracts. This leaves behind the rich flavors which blend with the vanilla to create a rich depth. The vanilla is still strong enough to control most of the flavor though, and this extract uses the best beans. Make sure to shake the bottle well before each use.

I should win an award for being the first to review your new Bourbon Vanilla Bean Extract, but I’ll settle for the Goose Points! I saw this on one of the recipe articles and thought it was a new product idea that I had to try. I just used it to make cookies and liked the way they turned out. I could detect the distinct “woodsy” smell of the bourbon along with the powerful vanilla smell as I added the extract to my mixer. The liquid all burns off in the oven, so the cookies were left with the natural vanilla flavor with a new hint of smooth complexity. The best way I can describe is that they had a more full flavor. I’m still a bit shocked that the flavors work so well together!
