Brown Sugar Oat Milk Cortado

If you love the rich, caramel sweetness of a brown sugar oat milk cortado from your favorite coffee shop, you’re in for a treat! In this post, I’m sharing my homemade version of this delicious drink that you can easily recreate at home. It may be a bit different from our last espresso recipe, the Homemade Protein Latte, but it is equally wonderful. I’ll walk you through the steps to make the perfect balance of espresso, brown sugar, and creamy oat milk so you can enjoy a barista-quality cortado whenever you want. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or just looking to try something new, this recipe is sure to become one of your favorites. Let’s get started!
Flavor & Taste

I always struggle with this section, but I’d like to think I’m getting better at describing tastes as a non-professional, so here we go…

This flavor is simple and balanced; it has the perfect balance of sweet and rich flavors. The brown sugar adds a warm, caramel-like sweetness that blends beautifully with the boldness of the espresso, just like our popular Espresso Cookie Recipe. If you love a little extra warmth, a dash of cinnamon takes it to the next level, but it’s totally optional if you want to keep it simple. The oat milk brings in a creamy, smooth texture that softens the espresso without overpowering it. You’ll get that satisfying contrast of strong coffee and silky milk in every sip, making it the kind of drink you’ll want to enjoy again and again.
