Hello again everyone! A couple weeks ago, I created a popular recipe post for our Delicious Dulce de Leche Brownies. I am creating this Peanut Butter Brownies post to keep the momentum going, and to offer another option for brownie lovers (I know you’re out there)! As busy bakers (looking at you parents out there), it’s hard to find enough time to finish a full recipe. This recipe combines two favorites, peanut butter and brownies, and it does it in a quick and simple way.

Whether you’re looking for a recipe for a back-to-school bake sale, having family over to watch the football game, or just making some sweet memories with the kids, these peanut butter brownies are a hit. We have included a full recipe video below for you to save time and make it even easier!

Let’s get baking!

These peanut butter brownies aren’t just your average brownies. They’re packed with creamy peanut butter and the wonderful flavor of natural vanilla bean extract.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (1 stick) Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • ½ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • ¼ tsp Baking Powder
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • ½ cup Peanut Butter
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract (1 tsp for Step #3, and 1 tsp for Step #7)
  • ¼ cup Powdered Sugar
  • ¼ cup Milk

Instructions

whisk dry ingredients together for peanut butter brownies
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare your 8 x 8″ baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Grab a large bowl and mix melted butter and sugar until well combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  4. In a separate bowl, add in the All-Purpose Flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together.
  5. Gradually add these dry ingredients to the wet ingredients from Step #2. Use a handheld mixer, stand mixer, or a large spoon to mix. Mix until just combined, do not overmix.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan. Spread the batter until it is level.
  7. Grab a separate mixing bowl, add in the peanut butter, powdered sugar, the remaining 1 tsp vanilla extract, and the ¼ cup of milk. The milk helps make the mixture a thinner and easier to work with.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture onto the top of the brownie batter. Use a knife to create a marbled effect (see video for more detail). Use until the peanut butter mixture is mixed throughout.
  9. Bake 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool for 5-10 minutes, then cut into squares. You can cut into 12 standard-sized brownies. Enjoy your brownies!
