ULTIMATE CHOCOLATE CHIP BROWNIES | RECIPE
These brownies are a perfect mix between fudgey and cakey, and the chocolate chips add even more chocolate flavor! I’ve done my best to make this recipe as simple as possible, but if you do want to optimize it, you can make your own vanilla bean paste:
One way that I’ve started taking recipes (and vanilla lattés) to the next level is by using Homemade Vanilla Bean Paste. It’s an easy recipe, and it only uses a few ingredients. One of my favorite things is that it also lasts in the fridge for several weeks, so it can be used for many recipes. Just click the picture above to check it out.
Ok, let’s get started on the brownies….
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup (2 sticks) Unsalted Butter
- 2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 4 Large Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare your 8 x 8″ baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe container. Grab a large mixing bowl, and add in the melted butter and then the granulated sugar. Mix together with a handheld or stand mixer for approximately two minutes until well combined.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time. Make sure each egg is fully incorporated (mixed in) before adding the next. Then mix in the vanilla extract and salt.
- Mix in the flour into the same batter mixture. This should take 2-3 minutes. Next, add in the cocoa powder and mix in like the other ingredients.
- Carefully mix/fold in the chocolate chips. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 min or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the brownies to cool for 5-10 minutes, then cut into squares. You can cut into 12 standard-sized brownies. Enjoy your brownies!
Alright… we did it! The older I get, the more I appreciate spending time in the kitchen making recipes like this. The reason we try to make these recipes so approachable is so they can be enjoyed as a family. The experience of baking (especially with family) is more important than the actual desserts you make… but these brownies are pretty awesome! Like I always say, just make sure to take the time now to set a few aside for yourself, because they tend to disappear quickly!
