Homemade Sugar Cookie Latte
I love cookies. My favorite cookie is a warm sugar cookie. There, I said it. As many of you regular community members know, I am also a huge fan of vanilla lattes. This Homemade Sugar Cookie Latte recipe pairs the best of both worlds. Judging by the Google Trends traffic’s, this delicious concoction rose from relative obscurity to earning a solid following in this Fall of 2024. It’s a fairly simple recipe, requiring only a few ingredients outside of the usual milk/espresso latte base. It is a sweet treat in a cup that is especially popular around the holiday season between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. I’m excited to add this new latte to my holiday rotation, and I hope you do too!

Sugar Cookie Latte Taste
I’ll do my best to describe the taste to you, but I am not a professional food critic. All lattes are a great balance between the smooth creamy milk flavor and the bold, slightly bitter, and rich taste of espresso. This adds the naturally flavorful taste of vanilla syrup, then adds in almond extract. The almond extract does a good job of adding a bit of “nuttiness.” The cinnamon and nutmeg finish it off with the aroma and flavor of the holidays!
Use Quality Vanilla Syrup
Before making this Sugar Cookie Latte or following any other standard latte recipe, make sure you use quality vanilla syrup. It doesn’t have to be super expensive! This is our small batch Vanilla Simple Syrup, and you can find it by clicking the image above. Any time you are making a recipe, remember, ingredients matter! This is the syrup I use to make our lattes at home. You can actually see the difference, all the bottles have the specks from natural vanilla beans inside. Whether you purchase our syrup or another brand, Don’t use bad vanilla syrup!
